Mondial cm-550 amplified box display off but partially working This mondial cm-550 amplified box had the display off but, activating the microphone, it partially amplified. checking the voltage that powers the display, which should be 3.3v, tsound was only 2.2v. The on-off switch on this device cuts the 12v voltage coming from both the power supply and the internal battery. By placing the multimeter between the terminals of this switch, I verified that in the on position, instead of showing 0 volts, it was showing almost 8 volts, that is, due to a bad internal contact, it was supplying just over 4 volts to the circuit.
