TV doesn't turn on, doesn't even show LED STBY | 1) capacitor shorted on the tcom throwing the 12v to gnd, incredible because the tcom fuse didn't burn, it burned one of the power mosfets on the power supply board (q6410 - it's an 8118) leaving the tcon_vcc_12v connected directly. 2) after repairing the power supply board, the TV still wouldn't turn on. the 3.3v stby voltage was ok, but the stby led did not light up. I checked that the board has a 1.2v stby regulator that was without voltage, I removed the regulator and 4 capacitors from the line but none of them were shorted, I tried feeding the main board with 3.3v and 1.2v from a power supply. bench but the LED didn't light up. When I connected 1.2v from the power supply to the line, initially tsound was a short, I slowly released the current, increasing the voltage to check wsound the short was and suddenly the short disappeared. | Apparently the short was inside the main IC of the board, when I released the current on the 1.2v line, what was shorted inside the IC burned and released the short. just changing the main board. | 2000 |
