I lifted the r567 (7w 1Ω) and the problem persisted. the problem was in q857 which had an undetectable leak at low voltages, however as the voltage at its emitter reaches around 150 v, this same voltage reaches the collector without causing an overcurrent in r877	Replacement q857. I replaced it with bf423 which is equivalent to 2sa1018	PASTOR
