SONY	XR70	Tab adjustment needed	It will not accept tape. cause: eject lever (#387) fails toengage the pin on (#385) when tape is inserted.
SONY	XO5	Defective switch	This unit had a bad hum in the phono mode (unless the switchwas pushed in and held in hard). the small switch (muting) along side s2would not make contact unless switch was held in.

SONY	TCFX1010	Broken erase head wire	This unit had a distorted output at the p/b head(non-symetrical sine wave). this of course prevented the auto calibrationcircuit from functioning. we found a broken wire at the erase head to bethe problem.
SONY	TC530	Replacement motor is larger	Ic624-si motor substituted by p/n 8-832-627-00, type ic624hi. servicer states motor sub is physically larger and mounting holesare different. -hq comments: motors are direct replacement.ic624-si motor (8-832-624-09/02) = ic624-hi motor (8-832-627-00)
SONY	TC250	Replacement part different	X-346-011-0 is too small in diameter. the other idler part #x-027-003-0 looks more like correct diameter. -hq comments: tc-250 unit is approx. 15 years old. similar model istc-350 and tc-102. p/n for its idler is x-002-701-92 and currentlyavailable.
