SONY	KX2501A	Dead set, replaced d1514	The power supply was whistling and there was no picture orsound. we found d1514 in the high voltage regulator to be shorted. thispresented about 30Ω to the 140v line. the fuse never opened.
SONY	KV2648R	Heavy arcing, resoldered broken etch	When set was turned on, heavy arcing would occur around theflyback. servicer had replaced the flyback, which did not help. foundground etch near t503 was open. this caused the flyback return to beopen. we discovered this by connecting the osc. ground
