Tripping with green led flashing in sympathy (after cust tried connecting his own spkrs) Hole in the stereo audio output chip (tda1521 ic7278) mounted on a sub board to the left of the main chassis and also one of those small rectangular cp's (cir ref 1242) marked "mp160" on the main board (left edge) was o/c. ic7240 (also a tda1521) mounted along the left edge of the main board cured the tripping.
