Plays lds ok (usually), but won't play cds Unit would normally play lds. occasionally, they would notstart up, but usually they would. however, in pause, the sled would runall the way in on side a or all the way out on side b. cds would not playat all.

No phono audio - repositioned an incorrectly installed ic501 No phono audio. when checking ic501, i noticedthat it was installed on the pc bd wrong from the factory. they missedby one pin hole towards the board screw hole (there is an extra pin hole).

No audio in fm mute - poor connection on asl pcb Fm functions fine in mono/mute off. but in fm stereo/mute onunit has no audio. if d006 the acute servo lock, green led does not lightthe stereo led d201 will not light and the mute circuit will not turn off. pin 5 ic201 controls this.

Protection on, no output - replaced t601 Ic801 pin 6 has 16 v dc, pin 4 has 0 volt. ac voltage onda827 pin 1 had 0 volt ac. open transformer t601 at vh2. unit inprotection mode. relay ry581 doesn't kick in.

Dead - replaced outputs Found q705 and q708 shorted and fuses blown. q705 had solderball on the emitter touching the heat sink.
