Clicking noise from tape deck - realigned gear #213 Tape deck clicks and intermittent turning of take upreel, eating tapes because of no take up motion. problem is caused by nocontact between gear #213 and pulley #215, there is too much clearancecausing intermittent motion.

Bad display/no power - solder bridges on ic821 The unit has bad display or sometimes no power. by a visualinspection of ic821 on panel board, reveals that pins 55, 56 and pins72,73 and 74 are shorted by solder splashes. in some units pins 26, 27are shorted by solder splashes too.
