No power - replace ic309, p/n 8-759-996-77 When power button was pressed, the opr/batt led and back lightflickered but unit would not turn on. if power button was pressed andheld, the led and back light would keep flickering until the power buttonwas released.

Tuner inoperative - replace c322, p/n 1-162-306-11 Tuner inoperative. no power to tu board through cn1. c322was shorted, bypassing c323 and pulling the 30v ouput from t302 to ground.this dc-dc converter didn't work.

No fm - resolder ic1 Units have no fm, am is ok. checked vcc pin 4 of ic3, it was only 2.5 volts instead of 5v. problem traced back to ic1 (if amp, fm mpx)

Incorrect laser The laser in the unit is a kss360a, same as the unit receivedunder part #884824601, sub 884824611 but the flex connector in the unit isapprox 3/4 inch across. the flex connecter on the replacement isapprox. 1 inch across. please advise. -hq comments

Cd board intermittent eratic symptoms In the area of ic704 (pwr driver), the feed throughconnections are intermittent. by flexing or heating that area you cansimulate the problems i.e. spindle motor at high speed unit would skipunit would lose focus.

Skipping & gear chatter - replace ref 656 (sled gear assy) Unit would skip. i could also hear the gears chattering. itraced the cause to a loose white gear on the sled assy.

Cd quits after 30 sec - remove glue on cd pcb Unit reads toc, but plays for only 30 seconds and quits.

Cd player stops after awhile - replace ic704, p/n 875951859 Cd player stopped playing after approx. 30 seconds. reloadedcd and it would not read and display showed no disc. if left to sit orcool down for a while and reload cd it would play and shut off again.
