Door on cd will not stay open - adjust s404 Cd tray would not stay open. this ws caused by a misadjusteds404 and a burr on the plate cover. what happened was that the tray wouldbounce back because the burr did not allow the tray to come completelyout.

Discs stuck in unit - resolder r801 thru r834 7 discs in unit, 2 jammed in. disc one would not ejectany discs. removed discs and unit then would not play cds or tapes.

No power ac/dc - replace q360, p/n 8-729-924-90. Units came in with no power ac/dc. checked power supply andeverything on power board was ok. traced problem back to ic304 and q360.upon further check, two of the pins of q360 were found to be broken.

No power ac and no audio, battery power ok - replace ic302 Unit had no opr/batt led, and no audio with ac power. afteropening the unit the fuse f901 was found to be open. changed fuse and itblew again. traced problem back to ic302 (power amp) by looking at theic, a small hole could be seen on the package.

Distorted audio right channel - replace c266, p/n 113617300 A missing film capacitor causes this audio distortion. c266 isconnected to pin10 of ic302 (power amp) w/c is part of the right channelamplification.

New cd buttons do not line up with old switches. When ordering new front cabinet, cd keyboard switches(s804-s808) do not line up with the new buttons. this is because the newbuttons sit up higher then the old ones, so the old switches aren't beinghit by the control buttons.
