Does not tune to FM stations above 107.7 MHz | When you receive any of these models for repair, which does not tune into a local station above the 107.7MHz frequency (e.g.: 107.9MHz), just replace the IC 401 (micro) with the new IC code 710100057 for the SS9600 model. or 710100037 for models ss9900 / md2400. Attention: - This replacement is specific to cases in which the radio does not tune in to a specific local station above 107.7 MHz. for any other type of problem related to the micro (ic 401), use the ic code 710100007 for the ss9600 model or 710100034 for the ss9900 / md2400 models.

CM 260CD

Does not accept the disc (ejecting the cd) | In this car radio model with CD, when it occurs that when inserting the disc into the compartment it is automatically ejected, the fault is not mechanical but rather in the 16.9344mhz cr02 crystal, connected to pins 71 and 72 of ic2 - saa7341, which stops oscillating, and is easy to detect using an oscilloscope or frequency meter. As it is an SMD component, its removal must be very careful and in its place the crystal code 421230399 must be placed, this being a conventional component but appropriate to the circuit.

No vertical sweep. | Firstly, notice that the resistor (r420) that powers the vertical output will be burnt or intermittent. test the (ic301) and note that it will probably be shorted. Replace it with a new IC and the resistor. the television will work again, but with little height in the image, if the resistor burns out again, remove the ci and check the voltage that powers it and 24v, if it is above, change the capacitor (c458) coupled to the tsh, and another resistor (r420), and the device will operate normally.

Totally inoperative. | Checking and testing transistor (q402) you will see that it will be perfect. Then test the anode of the diode (d404) and you will see that the voltage found is + or - 100vdc. Then go to pin 1 of the tsh and you will find 0v. The diagram shows that the diode (d404) takes the voltage from the power supply (ic801) to pin 4, and through the tsh winding the voltage appears on pin 1 to supply the collector of (q402), the horizontal output circuit is inoperative. checking between pin 1 of the tsh and the collector of (q402) there are two capacitors (c409) and (c413), after turning them off the circuit voltage, finding +b of 115v. with this measurement we realize that one of the capacitors may be shorted . So we do the test and find the shorted (c413). make the change, and the voltage on pin 1 will return to normal, and the television will operate again.

Height adjustment does not open the entire image, causing darkness at the top of the screen | C-607 causes excess noise in the +b of the vertical ci, without image and with sound, enlarging the screen, vertical closed was noticed, check r-315 of 1.8 m, another possibility is r 312=2.2r open.

103v supply goes low when turned on and returns to normal | When entering stand-by, check r 805, which when open prevents the str 50103 from triggering at the same frequency as the horizontal.

Shaking sides | It turns on and works normally for a few minutes, then the sides start to knock and the power supply emits a noise, as if the horizontal frequency is out. I verified that the power supply drops from 120v to 102v when the defect occurs. the image has a little excess white, I checked, the abl line (r 413, r 414, c420, d201, r206) is ok. solution: change all the power supply capacitors

Buzzing at the power supply, doesn't work. | The first defect was the shorted diode that powers the +b of the fly-back (replace with original). On the first attempt to turn on the TV, it turned on with a green screen and white trace lines. I turned off the TV once and then when I turned it back on, there was no sign of life. After a lot of searching, I found a bf485 instead of the 2sc2236 (horiz driver). I decided to remove it and found a minimum leakage from base to emitter on the scale of x1. Just replace it and that's it. osb.: just replace with another original (2sc2236)

TV turns off by itself or after turning it off, via the keyboard or c.r., it won't turn on again | By turning it off and on again via the AC cable, the TV starts working again. This problem occurs in locations with a low AC network. - replace the 2k7 - 10w resistor r806 with 1k5 - 10 or 15w; Attention: - in some TV's there are 3 resistors of 8k2 - 3w in place of the resistor of 2k7 - 10w. Solder the resistor well away from the PCI. - replace transistor q704. |
