A symptom of no picture in the pause mode was caused by amissing clock signal to ics 657 and 658. this was caused by an open tracebetween those ics and ic651 pin twelve, the clock power supply.

No pix or sound, but has high voltage, replaced d658, r619 Unit had hi-v, but no pix or sound. i turned up the screencontrol and found that vertical deflection was absent, and horizontal wasreduced. checked vert. output - normal. found ic301-47 (scl) and 48 (sda)lines to have low dc. q170 base voltage also low.
