Totally inoperative. | When the device is turned on, only the +b power supply (95vdc) worked, and this voltage does not reach the collector of the horizontal output transistor (q404) 2sd1427. analyze the circuit and observe that the resistor (r411) is overheating, which is a possible problem for the transistor (q402). Continuing, disconnect the television from the mains and then remove the transistor from the circuit?_ ?d?ö??? ??? , and note that it presents a leak between the emitter and the collector. Replace the (q402), and the TV will work normally.

Doesn't work, just turns on the stand-by LED | The television does not turn on when the on button on the remote control is pressed. check the power supply voltages, they will be normal, but the horizontal oscillator does not work, as there is no supply voltage for this circuit. This power comes from the power supply, and first passes through the activation circuit, controlled by the microprocessor (ica01), in this case we activate the TV using the remote control. In this circuit, when turning on the TV, the voltage at pin 16 of the computer is at 0v, cutting (qa17) and (q810) allowing the 114v voltage to saturate the (q809) sending the 20v voltage to the horizontal oscillator. check the voltages on these transistors with pin 16 of the computer at 0v (TV on) note that (q809) is cut due to the short found in (q810), which diverts the base voltage from (q809) to ground. Replace the (q810), and the TV will work normally.

No image, normal sound and on-screen functions | Firstly check the voltages on the video output transistors. Note that there is no voltage across the bases of these transistors. the bases are connected to pins 22, 23 and 24 ci (ic501). test the voltages on the other pins of the ci and they will be normal, however with a small drop on pin 17. replace the ci and the television will work normally.

Keyboard and display do not work. | It could be a 10x50v capacitor c1 that sticks to the keyboard board very close to the connector. it bursts and leaks liquid onto the plate. or as a last resort the ic2 (t7778a) which is also on the keyboard board.

Burning, heating or non-oscillation of transistor q404 (buh315-ne 587207 or 2sd 1877) | In chassis u13 the transistor q404 used can be either buh315 or 2sd1877, always respecting the value of resistor r444 with its respective transistor. Any change in the value of the res?_ ?d?distor located between the base and emitter of the q404 causes it to not oscillate correctly, causing it to heat up and burn out. We ask that you always check the value of the r444 resistor used in the device, whatever the reason for entering the workshop, in order to avoid further damage later. q404 (buh-315) use resistor pos.sq. r444 (33r). q404 (2sd-1877) use resistor pos.left.r444 (56r).

Doesn't start | I got this Toshiba completely inoperative, not even the stand-by LED lit up. Analyzing it I realized that the 5v +b was very low and the regulator (5v) was getting very hot. Following the 5v line I reached pin 42 of the computer, there is a 6v2 zener, it was shorted. I changed it and the TV worked perfectly ok? tip sent by: laureano
