PHILCO	PH21M SS	This television arrived at the workshop with the power supply pulsing and the LED turned off. On preliminary inspection, I found q 802 (2n5551) shorted. I replaced it with the MPS 42, but it didn't solve the problem, and the power supply continued to pulse and the LED went off.	On the 3.3volt line, tsound is a zener diode that is not included in the diagram and on the board (ph c18) this diode is connected to the left side of r 818 which has its right side connected to the base of q804 together with zener 3v9.	The solution was to replace the q 802 2n5551 which was shorted and the diode that is not shown in the schematic or on the board, which was also shorted	JFR

PHILCO	TP 1454	TV image disappears, the screen becomes dark with characters and normal audio. Sometimes the image would return, it would be normal as if tsound was no defect, then it would disappear and the screen would become dark again with characters and sound.	The 10nf smd 616 capacitor connected to pin 49 of the main IC was the cause of the problem. Note: the following components connected to this line from pin 6 of the vertical ci can cause this problem: c 604, r 604, r605 and d 602.	In this specific case, capacitor 616 that was shorted was replaced.	jfr
